This map shows the major industrial sites that signify the strong connections between Japan and Indonesia after 1958. The different factory marks around the map show areas that have multiple factories concentrated. The airplane marks show the areas that are strong in the tourist industry, Bali island in this case. The areas lined in blue signify industrial areas as well, where factories and Japanese corporations gather around. The areas lined in orange signify the oil zones, where different natural resources that are used for fuel are found. Out of these resources, the natural gasses mined there are especially important as they are used around Japan in many households.
